Medical PP plastic has high transparency, good barrier and radiation resistance, which makes it widely used in medical equipment and packaging industry. Today, I will introduce the reasons for the paint peeling off on the surface of PP plastic and the main properties of medical PP plastic. , please refer to it.
Analysis of the reasons for the paint falling off on the surface of PP plastic
1. PP plastic coating is prone to paint peeling problems. In addition to the adhesion of the paint itself, the surface energy of PP plastics is low and non-polar, which affects the adhesion of the paint film on the substrate;
2. Manual spraying is unstable, film thickness and color difference control are unstable, etc.
The main properties of medical PP plastics
1. High temperature disinfection:
PP plastic is a semi-crystalline material with high melting point and good heat resistance, and can be sterilized at a temperature above 100°C. Yield strength, tensile strength, compressive strength, hardness and elasticity are higher than polyethylene (PE).
2. Low temperature resistance and impact resistance:
Homopolymer PP is more brittle, and random copolymer PP synthesized with ethylene has better toughness and stronger impact strength. For products usually used under low temperature conditions, it is necessary to use copolymerized PP as much as possible, or modify PP by adding thermoplastic rubber to increase its flexibility and low temperature impact resistance. Non-PVC large infusion bag is made of copolymerized PP and elastomer blended modified materials.
It is easy to depolymerize and age under the action of oxygen, heat and light, so an anti-aging agent must be added. PP products are not easy to bond, and need to be treated before bonding, and special adhesives must be used. The cyclohexanone used by the equipment factory cannot meet the requirements. Poor coloring, poor fire resistance, easy to catch fire. PP is a non-polar material and has a low adsorption capacity for drugs.
